 Thirst Yet To Quench

Cup

Cup

Sweet little cup

Sitting on the bench

With water yet to drink

A glance at the cup

With thirst yet to quench

My throat dry and sore

Yet cup sit idle on the bench

Help help a cry for help

To whom it may concern

The master

The keeper of the cup

Says wait

Yes I'll wait though my throat

Soar and dry

What a wait

A long wait it is

No choice but to wait

Master must be blind

My eyes running out of tears

He must really be blind

Though his eyes behold my face

And his ears welcome my fainted voice

To him it's a joke

My pain makes him laugh

But why cry so much when

I only need but a sip

To quench my thirst

Hahaha master laughing out loud

He knocks off the cup

From the bench

And watch my reaction

For a joke

Pow!

Cup came crashing on the floor

The water splashing all over

I fell on my knees

Devoured by pain and anguish

I couldn't help but try

To wet my tongue on the floor

But a kick on my belly

Got me tumbling over

The master

The keeper of the cup

How cruel a man can be

In pain a cry I would mutter

Why waste the water?

When a thirst is yet to quench

When You Smile

Like sun rays

You light up my day

The brightness of your smile

Shines through

The depth of my heart

Your smile reassures my fears

It lightens my burdens

And sparks up hope

The tenderness of your heart

Reflects in your blazing eyes

Your smile expresses love

It awakens my drive

It sharpens my hope

Broadens my vision

Enlightens my knowledge

Hardens my steps

And cheers me to victory

Your face like a mirror

Is a reflection of meekness

When I look at you

My pride runs high

I feel safe with you

When our eyes meet

My heart skips beat

Your eyes

Without speaking

Confesses love and respect

The revered secrets of your heart

A spot only mine to keep

I became whole the day we met

I can now say

A whole me

How can I forget your smile

Piecing through the darks

That haunted my broken heart

I felt loved

My heart quickly healed

Pains and fears gave way

To  love and hope

Your smile healed me

The reason why

My heart skips a beat

When you smile
